Nadurtha Natural Deodorant
Nadurtha Natural Deodorant was created by it’s founder, Verity Wallace out of a personal choice to eradicate toxins from her daily life, whether it came from household products, food or skin care. Contains no sulfates, phalates, parabens, triclosan, mineral oils, aluminum salts, fragrances, GMO’s or anything else really, no crap whatsoever. If you are on the hunt for a natural deodorant that actually works hunt no more because we have personally road tested this one in all conditions and it gets a big thumbs up.
Comes in spearmint, citrus and unscented – Just indicate at the cart which one you would like under ‘order notes’.
Both white and black versions are unisex but we find the fellas prefer the black – each to their own though, we do not judge!
Why we choose Natural + Organic
Pesticides and herbicides contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs), which enter our bloodstream and mimic our natural hormones, thus interfering and disrupting the regulation of bodily functions. This can lead to developmental, reproductive, neurological, and immune effects. Many experts believe there is no safe level of exposure to EDCs as they can have effects at extremely low doses when there is prolonged exposure.
The organic ingredients in this product contain only the highest quality plants which are grown in clean soil and have not been treated with pesticides, herbicides, petrochemicals, or been genetically modified.
Why we choose Natural Déodorant
Personal care products are a direct pathway to exposure of toxic chemicals and for the most part are absorbed into our bodies. These enter our bodies via our lymph nodes, in the case of antiperspirant via the axillary node under the arm.
The active ingredient in antiperspirant is aluminium salts. This ingredient is added to artificially block sweat glands and inhibit perspiration. Our body controls temperature and excretes toxins through perspiration and by blocking sweat glands our bodies are absorbing chemicals, such as triclosan, phthalates and parabens in conventional deodorant. Once absorbed they may not all be metabolised and over time can leave a build up of harmful chemicals stored in our body. We need to be mindful that prolonged daily exposure to these chemicals could have an affect on our health.
Certified organic tapioca starch is incorporated into this formula which aids in absorbing moisture naturally. Wearing a natural déodorant over time may actually make you sweat less!
Choosing natural + organic skincare is a healthier and safer option for us + the environment.
As the formulation is concentrated – a little bit goes a long way.
Apply to clean, dry skin. Rub two or three times under each armpit ensuring the entire area is covered.
If you have a history of sensitive skin or allergic reactions, please be sure to patch test products.
As Nádúrtha say – if you’re new to using natural déodorant and you’re finding it isn’t working for you, blame your old conventional product, not your new natural one! When making the switch to natural déodorant, there may be a period of adjustment of a couple of weeks while your body detoxifies, don’t be downtrodden if you’re still getting a whiff of odour or a little irritation, this may just be the toxins being released from your body so don’t give up! The benefits far outweigh the niggles of adjustment so hang in there.
This formulation is irritation free however, if you have super sensitive skin or are sensitive to essential oils check out the unscented version.
